Mission Statement
To construct a public dog park providing an off – leash, safe and well-maintained environment for recreation and socialization for dogs and their owners. The park would provide a facility without infringing on the general public.
Note from the man behind the proposed public dog park project, Tim Quint:
I’m a resident of Conway, native, proud graduate of Kennett High School (class of 1969) and property owner in North Conway. A dedicated advocate for all of God’s canines. Upon retirement and being away from this “PARADISE” for 47 years, my wife, our 3 golden retrievers and I have returned HOME. I have pledged to construct a “GEM” for the Town of Conway and the Mt. Washington Valley. There is a need for a public dog venue in our town and valley. I have a goal of creating a quality and unique facility for providing an off – leash, safe and well-maintained environment for recreation and socialization for dogs and their owners. We need your support to make this dream come true! In addition to the venue having numerous amenities for dog owners and their canines, the complex is being developed to accommodate persons with disabilities and will include handicap parking and a wheelchair compatible walkway to the park gate and entry way. There will be wheelchair compatible supervision areas within the park as well as a wheelchair compatible walking path traveling around the interior park fence boundary. Surfaces for these accommodations will be rubber matting for the walkway to the entryway and supervision areas. The interior walking path will be compacted stone dust. The financing for the complex is independent of any taxpayer monies. The estimated cost for the park is $62,000. The cost for including the handicap amenities noted above is estimated to be $22,000 of the total expenses.
Thank you for your consideration with this very important project. I hope that you will help our canine loved ones with your generosity. Sincerely,
